CUPE 2424’s Disability Actions Committee (DAC) consists of appointed members from the general membership who have disabilities, visible or non-visible, either permanent or temporary in duration, along with allies and disability rights advocates.
This Committee is responsible for determining and responding to the needs of disabled members with respect to promoting best practices for access and full inclusion in the workplace (prevention and removal of barriers for members with disabilities). The Committee will plan, organize and promote the necessary activities toward this end, and will work cooperatively with other committees and organizations to build awareness around accessibility and duty to accommodate.
Meeting details: Monthly meetings (1 hour, 12-1pm, virtual)
